Biochemistry

Clinical biochemistry is that branch of laboratory medicine in which chemical and biochemical methods are applied to the study of disease. The Division of Clinical Biochemistry & Immunology provides qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological fluids such as blood, serum or plasma, urine, other body fluids like ascitic fluid, Cerebrospinal fluid, synovial fluid, pleural fluid, etc , for specific chemical constituents or physiologic processes. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of body fluids aids the clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of the disease along with organ transplantation, tissue, drug monitoring.
